Their dynamic live shows are known for both tight grooves and expansive\, soulful solos. \n  \nFred Wesley \nA true funk pioneer\, Fred Wesley’s trombone defined the sound of James Brown’s hits like “Say It Loud – I’m Black & I’m Proud” and “Mother Popcorn.” He also co-led James Brown’s J.B.’s and contributed to Parliament-Funkadelic’s iconic sound. Critics regard him as one of the most influential instrumental arrangers in funk history  .
